A casual jam session

Hey guys n gals

So I'm very keen to meet some of the people on the forum who can actually play this infernal instrument ?

I'd like to bring one of my mates along, (who played when he was a kid) to inspire him to use his god given talents, and for me to learn whatever I can from anyone who is more adept than I am (pretty much everyone) at playing the guitar...

How do I get involved? Do you guys n girls have meets/jam sessions where novices can come and listen to more experienced guys and chat/learn/drink copious amounts of beer/etc?

I'm not sure if this is the right section of the forum but let me know either way ?

I'm a bit far off but I'd also probably join in a jam session around the joburg area ?
