of course it's digital. originally, chuck did those epic splits on his own, on top of two 15km-high cumulonimbus clouds, carrying a seal team on each shoulder, all just in order to direct the storm fronts away from heavily populated areas.

naturally, this was months before van dame (sic) pulled his heavily rigged truck trick. these guys then rendered an alternative, digital version of chuck's magnificent effort in order to make it slightly less derogatory to poor old jean claude.
