Congrats Smurfie!! Wasn't there a Suhr on the cards? ?
Ahh, Suhr 8)
a) Suhr guitars are awesome (there are two at MM) but man they're expensive as all hell.
b) I can't play within 100 miles of Guthrie's ability, so I'd feel a little sheepish on a Suhr (not that he's the only dude who used to play them) - I already feel a bit odd being unable to play Petrucci stuff on a Petrucci guitar. ? Maybe one day when I'm big and can do justice to one...
Would it bring you any comfort to ask yourself if you can do Roy Buchanan or Danny Gatton or Jerry Donohue stuff on a tele?
One of my acoustics is the brand endorsed by Brad Paisley. Whatever I feel about my playing has nothing to do with playing the same brand of guitar as a guy whose boots I am not fit to lace guitaring wise.
But I understand the disinclination on the grounds of price ? It's that that stopped me importing a Lowden a couple of years ago, not the knowledge that I'd be playing a guitar seen in the hands of the likes of Richard Thompson, Pierre Bensusan and John Gomm.
