Karel Mars is restoring an amp that I bought recently. It looks like a tramp but will sound like a lady.
Fender 5C3 circuit with some upgrades - caps etc.
Anyway, since this amp has put me back quite a few grand already, I've decided to go all out and do it right first time round.
I'm still undecided on cab finish - it's going to be a wide panel deluxe to fit with the 5C3 circuit - 807 instead of 6V6 btw. I'm either going for an all-wooden finish in real boutique style or going all classic and keeping it tweed, since either options will cost a few bucks. Here are my ideas so far:
