Possible guitar build

Hey there GFSAers! I am super keen to build a guitar in the near future. I want to build a gretsch style arch top with two P90s and a Bigsby trem. Any advice on wood selection, pickup choice, electronics, what neck to buy (not going to build my own...yet!), do different f-holes make different sounds, does a cut away change the sound of the instrument, etc? I would like to know what you think of different sounds of wood. Any advice would be welcome!
