All booked and ready to rock 'n roll

Well, I have two events lined up for when I hit Jozi in January. I've been booked in the first week of Feb to play a half hour set at a venue well known to GFSA members and I will also be trying out with a band made up of esteemed GFSA members... playing bass. I wouldn't like to reveal the details out of respect to the guys who have involved me in these activities and would rather leave it up to them to comment if they so wish. However, I had to share my excitement, as I was concerned about vegetating once I got up to Jozi.

I'll put you all out of some of your agony. I have asked Pete to play at TJ's on Feb 6th. I started planning for this early because I had a specific concept in mind for the show. I have since abandoned that concept but not the invitations (other GFSAers should be playing on the night) and Pete has agreed to perform.

But many a slip 'twixt cup and lip, and I am not making any further announcements about that show now - other than to say I very much hope that Pete will be on the stage on that night. There will be announcements and more details closer to the time.

All the best with "Good Question". Both Joel and Warren have come over to my place to jam (together with
other GFSA'ers) and you will be so welcome when you get here .... I have heard the band, and they are sounding
awesome, so you will be joining a real nice band ...... and I'm sure your vocals will be an added bonus!

Hope your move up here is seamless.

On a sadder note , unfortunately our drummer is in hospital in ICU/Isolation at the moment , with 2 so-called 'Superbugs' ? , but the three of us will keep practising in the meantime until he recovers . Prayers and much mojo needed for him right now :'( ........

We hope to be ready to gig by the middle / end of March :yup:

That was great fun on Sunday. 8) Before we knew it, we had played 4 hours solid with a tiny water/pee break. I need to tighten a few things on my side and now looking forward to the return of our drummer.
