Anyone on the forum able to pass comment on the KAT KT1 electronic kit? My son considering buying one mainly for practice purposes as we live in a complex unit and an acoustic kit is not ideal for the environment ?

Better than anything else in the same price range. Easy to use module, decent sounds and good playability. Unless you're willing to pay a lot more for one of the better Rolands, go for it.

It seems like a nice kit. I see it has USB to midi? My Alesis has that and I like the idea of recording to midi, although I haven't quite got it working yet...

I see Marshalls have them on sale for R5,350 (Normally R8K)...
