pest infestation - vaguely guitar/music related

so yeah, we've noticed an increase in your typical pests; ants, 'roaches, even rats (although the latter are usually brought in as li'l gifts from the cats).

anyhoo, i was thinking of giving those homemark/verimark gadgets a try - the ones you plug into the wall, and 'turn the wiring in your house into a force field'. but wait! there's more! 'plus they'll never come back.' so the two questions i have are as follows:

- anyone ever tried these things, and have any feedback?
- they apparently work by emitting some sort of signal. i'm assuming this would have some sort of frequency. and i'm assuming that, since this works with the wiring in your home, it's going to affect computers, amps, etc. if so, is it even worth trying? or should i just go the whole hog and fumigate?

I don't know how they effect computers etc, but they don't have any adverse effect on pests. If you really want to throw that sum of money away I will accept it via paypal ?

Colour me a sceptic too. I suspect that Regular sonic blasts from a loud, distorted amplifier will be more effective. ? The claims of a "force field" make me snigger...
With the differences in physiology between insects and rodents, I don't see how it could work on both.

Get a pest control expert in.

i quite feel the same. was just hoping beyond hope. perhaps it only works on american insects and rodents...
