Song I wrote for my friends
giventofly
My good friends moved to PE yesterday. I wrote them a song and recorded it with Garageband on my iPhone. The drums and bass are from Garageband and the rest I did with a Squier Affinity Tele through an Ibanez TS9. I recorded the vocals with the phone's mic (and I can't sing so sorry about that). Feedback is welcome (positive and negative).

Did this all on a iPhone? Sheeesssh, that's pretty sweet.

Not bad at all. Kinda catchy. Guitar sounded good. Good feel. I zoned out a bit towards the end cos it's a little bit samey in the long term. But still not bad.
Don't apologise for your voice. It has the opposite effect to the one you intended - it focuses people's attention on the quality of your voice (which is better than average, btw). Whether in live playing or recordings, apologising for a weakness only draws people's attention to it. Don't do that.

Useful feedback, thanks monkey man!

Opening riffs sounds like "Born on the Bayou", fun and fitting tribute to your buddies or biddies.

I messed around with E7 open up the neck and that arpeggio sounded real familiar so I called my wife and she recognized it too but neither us could figure out what song it came from. Long after I finished the track and posted it here I was listening to Creedence one day and sure as hell it was Born on the Bayou. I honestly didn't mean to rip it (or any other song) off
