Karel Mars is holding a DIY tube/valve amplifier workshop in Pretoria
Who can attend? Anybody who would like to learn to assemble a tube amplifier and the practical aspects thereof.
Venue: Waterkloofrif
Date: 23 & 24 November 2013, 9h00 to 17h00
Costs:
• Workshop tuition: R2 000
and, one of the following options:
• Mars Stereo 70 Kit 2 Mk2 – R9 900
• Mars Stereo 20 EL84PP kit – R6 900
• Mars All Tube Line Stage Preamp – R6 900
• Your own kit or project, as long as it is tube-based.
What do you need? A 80watt soldering station, a roll of 0.7mm rosin core solder, an electronics side cutter and long nose plier. A set of screw drivers and nut drivers would come in handy. There will be a table and light and a power point for each attendee, and basic catering.
