So was there last night, first time ever I came to an Andy Mc Gibbon acoustic forum. A great evening with some great artist. Some good guitar playing as well as singing. First ever songs performed by Cindy Alter sounded good, she had a rough time and always nice and heart warming to see how people manage their setbacks in life. She deserve better and I hope she'll continue for a long time to come. Donnaugh Roberts has a great voice I think and she should exploit this further. Andy Innes is indeed a great artist and should get more exposure, one can hear the Johnny Clegg specially in the first song performed. As musical director is might be difficult to deviate from that. Herman van den Berg is a great artist aswell and his performance together with his support(forgot the guy's name) was outstanding. It not easy using the Afrikaans language to bring good songs, I think he did well with his Autumn song and the "toonsetting"one. The first time I heard Candy Fly and Justin Serrao, all great as well although not one of my liked styles of music.
Looking forward to the next one on November 8 I think ?
