Tele GAS

So I guess you would say I am going through a bit of GAS at the moment. Although I can justify it, my main guitar is a bit sub-par to my current needs. ? excuses excuses ? Over the past few days I have been transfixed with the idea of buying a Telecaster (probably Fender MIM). I have been drawn to the simplicity of design, heritage, and of course the tone of this legendary guitar. I want a workhorse instrument that would do whatever I ask of it whenever I ask it. A guitar that I could do anything with; musically, that is. What can you guys tell me about you experiences with Teles? (Fender MIM or other.) Is there anything I should watch out for? Any other recommendations as to what I should do/look for? I will probably look for second-hand first or maybe new (if I can swing the cash together :-\ ). Thanks guys, happy GASing.

Fender have announced a limited edition Rosewood tele from the custom shop.

I have a MIM Tele . . . and i love that thing.

It also did not break the bank - too much ?

Atleast it is much cheaper then a USA made one.

I bought mine in the UK, of ll places.
The Guitar Store, South Hampton.
Great store and freakingly good/friendly service . . . i can not recommend them highly enough.

They have (for such a little store - floor space wise) a staggering amount of Fenders.
Over a three day period, i bothered and pestered them, and i tested ALL the Teles they had, even the 8 or 9 Custom Shop models. And they helped me with massive smiles and GENUINE (not fake) enthusiasm all the way !
And at the end of the three days, i walked away with a Mexican 60's Classic.

Even got discount on the over all price, of all the goodies i walked out with !
Incl. various BK pick ups too.

My next Tele is probably gonna be a Road Worn.
If it is, i want to convert my current MIM 60's Classic into a single coil / full size 'bucker [n].
Then give the Road Woarn Tele the BK Flat 50 set, and something else for the S/H Tele.
