I don't own a Tele, but the ones I have played felt comfortable enough to me. FAR more comfortable than any full-sized acoustic I've ever played. And I don't hear people complain about uncomfortable acoustics nearly as much as they do about Teles.
Depends on you I guess. I also like the feeling on the Tele but there's no denying a strat is more comfy. It kinda nestles into you while a tele just sits against you and for extended periods, the tele can be a bit cumbersome. But then again, I moved from a Jazzbox to the tele so the slim body is like heaven for me.
Also, remember, guitarists are a finnicky bunch ? you need the deep body on an acoustic for "teh toanz"... For an electric, any solid plank will do an adequate job ? (Worms! Cans of worms everywhere!)

Turn the volume (or preamp gain if that's what you want) up. Or get a boost pedal.
Doesn't work for me... I'm running a solid state amp BTW, so the drive level is constant for the most part. Even with the volume/gain cranked, the Yorktown gets more grunt than the tele does and the tele bridge pickup has a higher DCR (I know... I know.....) And at the moment I'm keeping my rig ultra simple. Guitar > Fuzz > Wah > Amp. A boost might work but then I'd only need it for the tele as my other 2 guitars drive quite nicely. I may try this though ?

Compared to my Strat, I've found Tele bridge pickups to be more ballsy. They don't necessarily get more dirt but the just sound and feel like they have more "meat" for lack of a better word. Most powerful clean tone I've ever got was messing around on a tele. I like them.
They are ballsy ? That's why I like 'em. The broadcaster pickup is also something I'd really like to try. It's got a more throaty sound to it than the twangy tele bridge pickup. "Meatyness" for daaaaaaaays ?
As for clean sound, I enjoy the neck pickup alone and the mid position which gives a less woofy more clear humbucker sound.
