After developing GAS for an external recording sound card I visited some music shops who could not help me or could not satisfy my curiosity for a suitable sound card with instrument inputs, XLR and a reliable interface driver.
Yesterday i visited an electronic sound specialist store and noticed the Lexicon Lambda sound card. The owner of the store took some time in explaining and answering my questions and referred me to lexicon's site for specs.
It seems like a pretty neat package at a reasonable price.
After searching the forum I noted that one of the contributors mentioned having issues with drivers. Any idea what type of drivers and have the driver problems been solved? (Maybe a dumb question?)
MattAtack seemed quite pleased with his Lexicon Alpha. ANy one else own a Lamda?

They were plagued with driver problems from the get-go. I'm a Lexi fan in most things, but I've heard of too many unresolved or reoccurring problems to recommend them.
Just get a Focusrite or Roland interface and have done with it - both do good quality interfaces with great pres, converters and rock solid drivers across their entire ranges.
