Hey guys.
So I got an Sx Thinline tele in sunburst finish from a friend who gave up on guitar.
It's basically spotless. I pulled the plastic of the scratch plate when I received it.
So what I want from you guys is some advice on how to upgrade it?
Pickup's, bridges, tuners etc.
What are your recommendations?
I have to give Sx a nod though, for such a cheap guitar its flawless and feels pretty good to play.

Well it doesn't stay in tune too well. The pickups are kind of hot I would say but I would like to upgrade them to something with more clarity. The bridge doesn't really bother me, though I think a higher quality one might be better?

Did you put fresh strings on it? Otherwise the tuning issue is most likely a poor quality/badly cut nut.
The bridge - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Pickups, Don Mare or Lollars would be my first choice, but Duncan Broadcasters, Alnico IIs, 52s and Antiquities are all great pickups too.

Thanks Alan. I actually just put new strings on and after stretching them a bit it seems to be keeping tuning. Those Don Mare and Lollars look great!
