The EKO Model 400 refurb story

Well, a little while back, I said I would share the pics of this refurb job.

It's a 1961 Italian EKO model 400 v2. This looked to be a fun job, so I made sure I had the camera handy at all times.

Commentary is on the pics themselves, so I'll let them tell the story . . . . .

Is the bridge not perhaps on backwards?
Are the intonation screws perhaps supposed to be on the other side?

My thoughts entirely , . . .

I checked out a coupley hundred pics of these guitars, and there was no definitive assembly diagram. Some had the screws on the neck-side, and others on the tail-side. Obviously, this one needs the screws to be coming out on the tail side, to allow dropping of the bridge assy.
Upon reassembling the bridge and saddle assy after cleaning, I reversed the saddles to allow the screws to face the tail, not the neck. We'll see how it all comes together 8)
