Hey guys!
So my Tokai turned 21 years this year!
All is well with all of the hardware except that the tuners are getting a little stiff. I assume that they have most likely never been lubricated...
So what would you guys recommend as a good lubricant which is safe to use and the method of application. I'm not too keen on removing the tuners for maintenance, but I guess if I have to, I will.
Thanks guys!! 8)

21 Y.O.? I'd say it's probably time to replace and have done with it. Sealed tuners are made so the lubricants last the lifetime of the tuner, by the time they start drying out, they're usually worn out too. Plenty of high quality drop-in replacements for Kluson-style tuners now.

I've done it myself with very good results.
But a change to new tuners, will be a very noticeable difference . . . :?

Ooh wow well this is quite embarrassing!! Since this guitar has been a bit shrouded in mystery I overestimated her age a bit! :-[
Lance helped out a bit and in fact she's still a spring chicken. An '09 baby in fact. Bleh. The tuners are just a bit stiff from having been in its case a bit long it seems! Im going to just give the tuners a few extra turns when I change the strings again :?
Im gonna stick my head in a hole now
