Hi
A friend of mine has a Digitech whammy and the output lead broke off the power supply (it's a really thin crappy piece of wire) right at the strain relief section, not leaving any space to repair the lead. The Whammy runs on AC, so the PSU is just a transformer in a box. We decided to rehouse the tranny and add an IEC socket on the mains side and a 2.5mm plug on the output side so he can use a flylead instead of a fixed one.
I just want to confirm that I'm not making any dangerous assumptions before I continue. Because it's AC, there won't be any polarity issues right? So can I wire the 2.5mm plugs any way around, and not have to worry about centre negative/positve like with DC?
Thanks

Yeah, all correct - go ahead and don't worry.

Great. Thanks Alan.

I am one of those 'never too many fuses' kind of guys.
Might be worth sticking a 150 or 200 mA fuse in line......

Thanks Peter. I would guess that would go on the output side to protect the pedal right?

I would put it on the mains side.
