OK, so I finally got that AI file for CornFlakes to help us design our shirts. We'll be working with SpringLeap.com to keep things easy in the beginning. We won't be making a cent off the shirts and you guys get a full 15% discount on any shirt you buy through SpringLeap.com just for being GFSA members ? (I'll let you know the coupon code for that once we have our designs sorted) So, sometime in January/February, we should be able to start buying GFSA shirts - pretty neat!

Really dig the Tele designs. But then again, I would, wouldnt I?
They are all cool.
NB: I agree, you can easily drop the ''www'' and make the text bigger.
And about the back: That would really increase the costs. I think you should keep it simple and not too many designs and colours - for the same reason.

Agreed! Still my fav, plus it shouldn't be too heavy on ink? I like the wireframe vibe.

Regarding the font, it's got to stay. That and the colours (black, white & that specific shade of red) need to stay. The girl and guitars can change though.

Alan, you have great taste in guitars but really boring taste in T-shirts ? It's okay, we still love ya ?

? Most seem to agree with me on the #5 tho... Anyway, I only recently stopped wearing nothing but plain black or white (hard to get the colour combos wrong) with an occasional brand logo (I love free T's). I now also wear grey and shirts with pics of bumblefoot or Zappa on too. ? If I have a pic on it, it had better be a guitar dammit. ? The outline thing is very nice - classy, and will be easy on ink, but I prefer a pic of a recognisable make/model of guitar.

Now these are really classy! Especially the white one with the Tele. I definitely would get some of these for those (rare) occassions when I get invited to functions where the dress code is "smart" or "formal"... 8)

Just looking again and I think the text could actually be smaller without losing anything. On a full size T-Shirt it may actually come across as too big as they are?

Would I be the only one wondering what is happening here. BTW Alan, I think the larger text will be just fine stretched out across the chests of the okes doing 100 pushups. Whoopseeeee, here comes trouble but I'm incorrigible.

Unfortunately, the not-so-friendly people at CornFlake's work have blocked him from GFSA. He says he'll email me the designs to upload to SpringLeap.com soon. Once they're up, you can take your pick. Vote with your wallets and your chests (wearing 'em!)

Bad news is we can't use SpringLeap.com for our shirts. We'll have to find another way.

I thought they weren't a print on demand place. There are places around that do it though, so we must just find a local one.

I'm actually considering going the old-fashioned route and having a few shirts printed at a time, and then selling them, and then rinsing and repeating. It does limit us in terms of only being able to select one shirt but we could make it fun and vote on a new shirt-design on each run so you have a collector's item if you buy a GFSA shirt ?

A whle ago we did some DIY T shirts. It involved buying a box of A4 iron on transfers. You basically print your design (in reverse) on the transfer Sheet with your home colour printer and the iron it on to the T Shirt. It might be a bit naf though

What about posting the designs that cornflakes made in a A4 size format, then can what rene said, or take it to a printing company to get it printed?

My local printing company charges R40 for black and white printing on a T-Shirt.

IS it possible to get it in a A4 size format(Without the picture of the T-shirt with it, just the plain graphics)

I'm currently chatting to a company about printing a test shirt. I'll post here once I've got some results. These guys print on 100% cotton but I'm afraid we'll have to deal with the silk-screen printing for now.

Well Norrie...It looks like screen print is going to be the best option for now....

The sample that I had made looks pretty rough bout now...6 washes and 4 tumble dries later and the colours from the graphic have faded alot...

How much was that printed for Law? Do you know what material the shirt is made from?

R130 nett incl VAT

If i can get hold of teh adjusted JPegs I could go and have a look at having other designs printed up...
