Stoffeltoo While browsing the tents a guy was playing a ukelel and the missus asked if I could sing like that. My reply was only if I sacrificed the family jewels. Well I was browsing another stall when the stall owner tapped me on the shoulder and said he would give me a Uke for discount due to my remark which had them in stitches. Well half an hour later I was the proud and somewhat unwilling owner of a chinese made Tenzo soprano uke, spare strings and a uke tuner. I sat at one of the wine tents and unpacked this little marvel, figured out the tuning and was playing Streets of London, Country Roads and House of the rising Sun in no time. People would not believe me when I informed them it was the first time ever I touched a uke. Was great fun though ?
stompie Now you must dress like a Hawaiian and sing over the rainbow, that song is to the uke what wonderwall is to the guitar.
stompie Squonk reminded me of this song and you reminded me of this version now ? Watch "Ukulele weeps by Jake Shimabukuro" on YouTube -
