New (Almost) Vintage Amp Day

What's vintage these days, 30 years? Well then this 1984 Ibanez GX60 almost makes it.

Got it today, but only testing it out tonight. Needs a clean and a little work but has tons of mojo. Got push/Pull 'Bright' and Overdrive channels, parametric EQ settings as well as built in reverb, which is footswichable like the overdrive.

Haha - you'd know! Like you said, great tone - the overdrive channel is awesome. Did you ever use a footswitch with it?

I'd fire it up outside first. Close all of the house doors and windows, get a broom stick, and be ready to clap the rats as they escape when you switch it on!!! :roflmao:

A lot of the materials look quite similar to those used on the Roland Bolts.

Funny you should say that, 'escaping rats' is a pretty good description of the overdrive of this thing ?

Checked out the Roland Bolt online - looks very similar, same knob and input configurations

I never did. Never had the need to.
But I can imagine it being pretty rad?
