Possibly my favourite song of all time.
I did buy the original album when it came out (the first Gabriel album, self titled but nicknamed 'Car') The version of Here comes the Flood was pretty mediocre and it kind of passed me by. But then being a great prog rock fan I got the Robert Fripp album exposure which came out 2 years later which had this version of "Here comes the Flood", with Pete on vocals. It's good stuff
I haven't found a song to beat it yet although The Kinks "Waterloo Sunset" might just take the honours.
