This is the kind of stuff I play... pubs, restaurants, corporate do's.

I now have a repertoire of approximate 250 songs, including light jazz ballads, blues, country, rock/rockabilly and pop.

Thanks for that, made my morning.
You have a nice voice to listen to and that song is cool as hell
AlanRatcliffe
Yeah. While I might not get out of the house specifically to go and listen to any cover act, I'd enjoy finding this kind of stuff at a local venue. Given the choice between a venue with piped music and this, I'd take this any day.
Sean
Yes, would definitely come and listen 8)

Always a pleasure listening to you Pete ? Thanked!

Hell yes I would.
That song made me ache for an empty, dusty bar and some Jack Daniels. Thanks for posting ?

Another +1 . A pub or restaurant with that happening would move up the priority list. If it was close (probably under 15km's) , I'd become a regular.
Kush
+1 I'd listen to that any day, really enjoyed that.
Psean
Yup. Would be cool to hear this kind of stuff in a pub.

Yeah, u should book that little jazz place "swingers on main" close to kenilworth race track.
Would kick ass if u could do the improv Monday nights - would sound awesome with some sax

Thanks for your positive feedback dear friends. It seems likely that my wife and I will be migrating to Jozi to spend more time with my daughter, son-in-law and grand-kids. So soon I'll be trying to sell myself to new venues and people who don't know me. (cold-calling). The feedback I got here will help with confidence levels. (you know how insecure we creative types are).
I have also been playing in a band here in Durbs which I have thoroughly enjoyed, so in addition to playing solo I might look to join a band in Jozi or even start a new one. This is all likely to happen in 3 months time... subject to the positive outcomes of an offer I've received on my home here.

Pete, you mentioned in another thread which venues are on the East-Rand. For your sort of jazzy stuff, I would suggest the casino's. They always book low-key laid back acts. Mostly solo and duo acts. They pay at the end of the month so you get a nice chunk of money.
Jarrod Aston runs a company called Fluid-Media. He books all the artists for Monte Casino, Carnival City and Emerald Casino. A chick named Mary-Anne does the bookings for Emporor's.
I'll pm their contact details to you.

Thanks Arno... very kind of you.
