Man, it seems like such a terrible design. Everytime I restring, one of those little black saddles always gets lost due to lack of string tension keeping it on the bridge. Fortunately I have found all but one, which I lost this morning.
Anyway, do music stores i.e. Marshal sell them individually? Also, what do you guys do to keep from losing them
AlanRatcliffe
The original design had a spring clip that keeps 'em in place. Other designs the rear of the screw goes through a hole rather than a slot, so you have to screw 'em out.
As to singles - call Gareth and ask him. He might have. I'd probably look to replace the whole bridge with a proper ABR-1.
singemonkey
Yeah. Most tune-o-matic saddles the little bolt goes through the saddle. I was like, "whut?"
Reinhard
ABRs tend to have saddles pop out if it does not have retaining wires. The Nashville is a closed unit, so I don't know how your saddles fall out. Is that an OM bridge?
Where did you change strings for you not to find it again (you can vacuum the area and check the bag)? Did the whole bridge come off, because you said you found all but one? In future, unless you are cleaning frets or oiling the board, change one string at a time. Keeps tension on the bridge and you have only one saddle to look for.

Sorry, that picture isn't one of my guitar, was just showing to demonstrate the saddles I was talking about. But without strings on, they come off way too easily. The guitar was on my bed, and 2 fell off, found one, and the other has entered another dimension it seems. I've quite literally thrown my room from the one side to the other, and back again, just to find it, and no luck. So I am gonna have to purchase one!

Ive actually been looking at the roller ball bridges as a possible replacement to the Tunamatic I use. Ive never lost any of the saddles, but I believe you experience less string breakages with them, and can make use of the plectrum "whammy" a lot easier when you use them.
I think guitarfetish sell them for a good price, but they also make use of the dreaded USPS delivery swindle.
ie. You pay for the delivery. USPS take your money.... [the end] thats all.

Went to gareth, and to my misfortune, he said I'd have to buy a whole set :'(
I just need one, not a whole set. Any other suggestions?
singemonkey
Why not save yourself future stress and get a complete screw-through set?

It seems like the best idea. Apparently most bridges come with a retaining wire that keeps the saddles in place, but I don't have one. Weird.
Soooo, I've searched my room 3 times. The good news is my room is super clean now, the bad news is that the saddle is still gone.
Do any of you have a spare graphite (Graph Tech) saddle lying around that you dont need or use, maybe cause you have extra's or something. I will purchase it from you. Please!

One way would be to take another saddle of the six to the nearest machinist, they are not hard to copy in most any piece of steel.

Adrian, If you have anything but a simple stool that you are sitting on, search the chair really well. I recently found a flash drive lodged into the area where you adjust the distance of the back rest to the seat.

Interesting idea. Although I'm sure the service done would be rather pricey as well

Unfortunately not there either :'(

Until you can find a new one you may find it easiest to make one out of a brass 15 amp plug pin, Its nice and soft and you'd need a junior hack saw and some emery paper. You will lose some skin though!!!

I'm a bit busy this weekend with rehearsals, but drop me a pm with your contact number or bbm pin if you use a bb. I'll contact you in-between. I have saddles.

I have some good news.
Firstly a disclaimer, I am by no means a representative or ambasador of Graph Tech, so anything I say is purely as a simple guitarist.
Ok, so I've had issues getting my hands on a single saddle. I don't wanna buy 6, so I though, why not try my luck and just email the Graph Tech guys in America (for this i must thank Mojo JoJoe who suggested I try that route). I emailed them expecting a simple no, but hey at least I tried. Instead, and rather promptly, I was emailed back by one of the reps who said he is shipping me TWO saddles FREE OF CHARGE ??? ??? ???
He was soo cool about it, I honestly never expected such a response. He is even paying for shipping!! Granted it wont be very expensive, but still. Its little things like this that really warm my heart to companies. So, to all those considering the Graph Tech route, I suggest you indeed go their route. They have made a solid fan of me

That's great news man!
I had an issue where I lost this little C shaped clip that fits on a Tonepros saddle. I mailed them and they were awesome enough to send me a few free of charge too. Great customer service and that's how you build customers for life.

I used to endorse them, so feel free to ignore me. ? I will however say I was a die-hard customer long before I was an endorser (and I still am a customer even though I dropped the endorsement).
They've always been good on the customer service front. Dave Dunwoodie (inventor/MD) and his tech guys are keen to innovate and seem to love doing custom jobs - making saddles for unusual instruments, figuring out and advising on how to approach custom installs, etc.
I've rarely had problems with their products either - and the one time I had a faulty Ghost saddle, they shipped me (by courier) a replacement saddle and a whole set to "keep as spares". You don't find service like that every day.
