Hey guys,
I recently bought a Line6 UX1 interface primarily for recording guitar and am now looking for a decent pair of monitors to hook up to it. Having read a good few reviews and opinions, it sounds like the RP5's have better definition and the RP6's have a better low end. Has anyone here, as a guitarist, listened to both the RP5's and the RP6's? Which is better suited for guitar?
Thanks in advance

You can record and mix on anything with enough practice and comparison to pre-recorded material to educate your ear on what a mix should sound like on them. It depends on how much low end you want and the size of your room (smaller the room, the smaller the speakers generally). I usually want at least a 6" woofer, and ideally an 8". The RP5s are OK with the 10" sub in the same range (and also great for surround sound on a budget), but I'd rather go for the 6 or 8s.

Basically what Alan said..
EDIT: For less likelyhood of that can 'o worms being opened up.

Thanks guys. I guess my concern is that at present I cannot afford both the monitors and the sub, and want a setup that works for both listening and mixing. Will the RP6's suffice?

The 6's are fine. KRKs always seem to me to have a better low end than I would expect. That's one of the reasons I ended up with their V8s instead of Genelecs or Adam A7s.
