I purchashed a Yamaha LLX6, Engelman Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides, as I wanted to learn the magic of playing guitar! Unfortunately, after acquiring the Yammaha, I had an op for CTS on both hands 4 years ago and I spite of this, I'll realise my dream of playing guitar.
My pride and joy is a custom guitar, US made which I purchased in Nahville, Tennesee during a visit. I've become friends with Grant Batson, who now is into pipe making!
All Maple Batson Grand Concert, cut-away with LR Baggs and Batson case. Trust me, the exchange rate was way better then and this still nearly caused a seperation, or should we rather say, a divorce!
I found them on the net after becoming mesmerised by McPherson guitars. We communicated via email and I planned to visit them twice during business trips which never worked in the planning. Damn, I had arranged this two years prior and had to delay this due to my plans to visit my brother-in-law in Houston being changed.(Nearly bought a Gibson at the factory shop in Memphis on the trip, but feel this is an investment and a real quality piece, for a lifetime) ? Reading all the posts, I realise Gibson is BIG here, but this being the only Batson on the continent affords some bragging rights!! ? ?
Thought I had to share this as their seems to be many appreciative persons here. ?
I'll take some additional detailed photo's in daylight and post them.
