PRS to Gibson Neck Profile: Which one is for me?

I've been doing a lot of reading on PRSi and their imitation of a Les Paul.
What I've found is PRS focuses more on high mids as opposed to an LP's low mids.
Different frequency spectrum's are covered so not really comparable imo.

Next step is to find the neck profile of an LP that would feel like the neck of a PRS McCarty (Thanks Joe M):
The McCarty neck alomst feels like a combination of a classical guitar neck and an electric's neck which I love - Wide Fat if I'm correct.
My frame of reference is merely an Epiphone LP gold top with P90's, which felt way too small for my liking.

You'd want a 50's style neck.. Probably 58 but I'm not sure what models you're looking at - never played the PRS but I've played a lot of classicals and Gibsons.

Also, remember that wood is quite a variable material - it's more luck of the draw than saying PRS have a high mid focus etc. Not to mention that pickups can change that as well ?

In my opinion one of the larger factors in tone on similar guitars (PRS - Gibson etc) is different bridges - as not only do the affect the eq (Which can be tweaked on your amp or pups) but they have a huge impact on the feel and the attack / timbre of a guitar.

You best bet is to go and play a few different PRS guitars... Epiphone came out with a variety of neck profiles (even for the LP)... so it's hard to say, off the bat, which you have right now.
FWIW I went from an Epiphone LP to a PRS SE Custom 24 about 2 weeks ago...I noticed that the neck feels a bit thinner than the Epi... Messed me up a bit for a few hours as I had ONLY played the Epi LP for the last 5 years...

Have a look at the LP Traditional 's.
IMHO they come as close, but you'd probably have to find one to play here, to see how close it is to your standards.
