i pretty much suck at GH cos i keep on trying to play the songs like i would on a guitar and end up using those strumming patterns

dragon force on meduim is too much for me. I can only complete it 91%. AND... 0% on extreme. hahaha ?

I played guitar hero for first time today(I know i'm way behind),
Was a pretty fun experience i must say, just keep the beat and your good to go.

I do agee it is very EVIL hehe! But it is still fun...i use it to loosen my fingers up a bit before hitting my real guitar, kinda helps me! Different strokes for different folks tehe

I think it is fun, but there are allot of 'bad' involved that I can think of and experienced.
a Friend of mine son plays more GH than anything else. So he told his dad he wants to play real guitar since playing guitar is easy, he can be a rock star.
His dad bought a guitar for him, and after 2 days he said real guitars sucks! This poor kid will never in his life pick up a 'real' guitar again.
I think that GH creates false expectations under younger kids.
Please don't stone me for my views, I just don't like GH.

i agree with you completely , GH does give false hope to aspiring young guitarists , i actually just sold my guitar hero , as i prefer playing the real deal .........
Tragedy-Wire
haha we will let you slide this time! Hehe! But on the other that is very true, creating false pretences and such like GH can cause havoc upon kids that might one day be the next jimi hendrix! ?

I'm a sucker for Guitar Hero... but I don't play it much on my own since I bought an extra guitar for my fiancee. Friday nights are pretty much booked now ?
Heath
ok that is so wrong
Neps
GH at least got my little finger which I broke a while ago to do things again.. But as for playing the real thing.. Well one just has to look at my Facebook profile picture to see how awesome a GH player I am!!hahaha
It's fun though to get the fingers loose, but that Dragon Force song is EVIL!!! Expert is imposible.

The only thing that I will give to GH is that it improve hand eye coordination.

Lots of people say it screws up your playing. When we are really bored we drive to Incredible Connection and play it in there for a couple of hours. The sales people and sometimes even the manager join in, so much fun. For everyone in Pretoria, there is a Guitar Hero Showdown at Herr Gunters in the Square every Thursday evening. I think in Wednesdays there's a Singstar Showdown. Some horrific voices, but after you've knocked back a couple you don't really mind. You get on stage and do a duet.

Anyway, got some bad news for guitarists and good news guitar hero fanatics, Peavey has taken the leap forward to making custom guitar hero controllers:
Its typical of KISS to get on the merchandising bandwagon!!!
I lub GH, except i cant play it on hard. Through the fire and the flames on medium is as far as i've been able to play ?

I played GH once. I found it a little confusing at first cos you want to play it like a guitar but in the end you have to pay it ike a video game.
I found myself being consumed with desire to practice more on it, then I realised that if people spent as much time on a real instrument, they could one day be featured in a video game.
what a waste of time, like watching survivor
Carmen
I've played Guitar Hero at my friend's place. It's fun. ?

Its a waste of time

If someone's intererested, check out frets on fire, free pc version of GH and it plays GH files

The one thing that GH has done, is introduce a lot of kids to a whole new catalogue of music. Without GH, do you think any current 12-year-old would give a damn who Led Zeppelin were? Now these bands have found a whole new audience, and are seriously coining it. Apparently Aerosmith made more money from their Guitar Hero special edition than from any of their albums - its insane!
