True that. But rather a little contention now and again (and threads the wise know not to look in) than we all sit around nodding our heads, agreeing with each other all day long. Differences in opinion create discussion that we and others can learn things from.
Sure, it's frustrating when someone refuses to be at least a little open minded and acknowledge that while they may have a preference, there are other options that are equally valid preferences for others (and if we are honest, there are times when we can
all be more than a little rigid in our thinking because we
know we are right ?). Try consider those folk as an opportunity to learn some tolerance. Even the contrary devil's advocates (or trolls as we call them these days) can be ignored if you don't want to get into what you regard as pointless discussion.
