Published my album! (Thraeol - instrumental metal, tech, prog, shred etc.)

BMU · 2013-08-14T12:08:45+00:00

Go check it out over here on Bandcamp: http://thraeol.bandcamp.com/ Some of you have heard some of these songs in earlier form. Some are new. They've all been mixed & mastered (by someone who knows what they're doing, not me) re-tracked where required, new sections added etc.

ZarK wrote Listening to your tunes right now. This time with a decent headset. Dean used for all recordings?

No I only got it more recently. Only Beryllium has the Dean.
Velvet and Nexus are the Schecter Loomis.

The rest are all J-Custom! (I know you'll like that! ? )

This beasty, RG8527z

PS - I tried rotating it to no avail so just ignore the gravity defying effect! That's right folks, Ibanez build guitars so good, the laws of physics can't touch 'em.
PPS - now it looks the right way up but squashed...?? Damn you photobucket. I shall fix...
P^3S - OK now it looks vertical and not squashed so ignore previous 'gravity defying' comments...sigh.

What's not to like? ? I still haven't held an axe that matches a JC for quality and finish... Stunning example that. :goodtimes:
I'll be giving your tunes yet another listen today. Really enjoying it. Inspiring me to pull my finger out and start recording as well. Thank you! Always wanted to record some trancy prog tunes myself. Probably won't be as heavy as your music and would include more synth -when I take the time to figure out how to incorporate it. Thanks for the inspiration and good tunes! 8)

The JC is built better than the Dean, no question about it. The fretwork is pure art, the inlays, fit & finish etc. You can see where the additional $$$ went. But my fingers don't care how it looks... lol.

Synthy trancy prog sounds good. I love synths. I listen to equal parts technical death metal and electro/EBM type stuff lol.

You going to perform this live?

OK I lied. Here's Thraeol live and unplugged!

Single guitar track playthrough, only bass and drums for backup. That's as unplugged and live as Thraeol is likely to get ?

Must say, the Dean sounds in particularly growly and evil mood here. Did I mention how much I love that guitar?

Really enjoyed the album! 8)

The live playthrough is a nice addition, especially with a technical instrumental album (you are always thinking, wonder how he plays it).

Thanks man. Your avatar caption is right. Guitar is hard...

Thanks. I kinda like that rough version, probably 'cos I've heard the studio version millions of times.
