New pot for wah pedal..

charleshaupt

Hi all,i have an old Dunlop GCB 95 Wah pedal.Lately the pot sounds very scratchy whenever i rock the footpiece back and forth.Tried to spray it with switch cleaner, didn,t do the trick.I,m thinking of replacing the pot.Is there any shop in the country that stocks new pots,or should I just order from the net? Thanks C..

Dunlop are imported by Tuerk/Turnkey and they usually keep stock of the pots. Otherwise Bothners import the Ernie Ball ones.

BTW - NEVER use switch cleaner in a pot (or fader). It kills the pot faster than anything else.

Jeez, I didn't know that. Thanks. Is the solvent the problem, or what is it that kills it?
What is the best way to clean out old pots then?

Since this is a spare, I take it I'm allowed to comment?

Alan's quite right as usual. ? We have pots for these in stock at all times.
