Hi There

After a year and a bit of lurking and soaking up knowledge on this forum I now need help from y'all. I have a Roland Micro cube that I absolutely love and it seems to have gone to that awful "used to work" amp warehouse in the sky. That is unless you guys can shed some light that is......

After opening the amp I saw this on the main board:

I can only assume the burnt out part is the problem.
Question is who to take it to, will it be damn costly, is it worth repairing if it can be repaired?

heres hoping for a favourable outcome (and that i got the damn pictures uploaded correctly.

Well, I am a dumbass, but that looks like something has popped where the power comes in. I have learned, from living in Mozambique for 14+ years and having to have a bash at fixing everything (the last thing you do here is give it to an 'expert') that, usually there is a small part that I believe is called an MOV (correct me please) that absorbs power surges until eventually it pops (creates a dead short) - once it pops it then blows the fuse continually until it is replaced or, in our case, you give the unit to a snake as u/s and he fixes it and sells it. I may be wrong but it may be a simple fix!!

Shot for the reply, I hope you are right and it is a simple fix, things got some sentimental value and plus its damn handy.....Sadly i am even more of a dumbass, me and electrical problems, we are not friends.
