Where can one buy SX guitars?

I want a new bass and I think I want a P-bass. But before I import a Fender P-bass I would like to try out a cheapy. Just to make sure its gonna work for me.
So where can I get an SX P-Bass. Who stocks them?

Stu - I'd bear in mind the fact that there are a heck of a lot of differences between individual guitars of one model and manufacturer, never mind the differences between the copies. differences in feel, sound and balance. Good luck. I sincerely hope that you find what you want but you are taking chances by buying any guitar without taking it for a test drive first. It could end up causing you to forever diss OR rave about an instrument unfairly.

For what it's worth my two passions in life have always been guitars and bikes.
While I have never been able to afford "brand new top o' the range" I have always made do with older "second hand"
Often you do not get to choose the colour, shape or size but buy according to budget or availablity.
Sometimes someone knows someone who selling one at an affordable price.
I have bought dozens or cars, bikes or guitars without getting to decide which specific model, shape size or colour I am buying.
In each case I have learned to ride the bike or play the instrument event if it "pulled to the left" or "required some T.L.C."
For a bit of fun when you aint on the stage... hell... even a Sanchez ought to do the trick. ?

Why do you want to import a Fender P-bass? I see you live in northcliff so you could go to music connection and play all the Fender Basses they have in stock until you find your babe? Even a squire P-bass could be a good idea to give you a better idea what a fender would be like and I see a bunch of squire basses on gumtree.

I have taken into account that copies aren't going to be like the real thing. My assumption is that the real thing will be better?

I'd also be happy with a squier but that are almost impossible to come by! The thing is I want a white Fender P-Bass. Thats kinda what I have in mind. So if I buy new I can get exactly what I want.
But I will head over to music connection and try out a few before making the final decision.

The idea of getting the SX is that I can use it for a while. I find that I dont know if I like a guitar or not until Ive had it and used it.

Hey man I bought an SX P-Bass from Marshall Music in Woodmead 3 weeks ago, I took one and there was still one left, a sunburst colour.

Yes, that would be first prize. But I there are no second hand P-basses around at the moment.
