Anyone else working too hard lately ?

It just seems, and I've noticed it quite a bit, that people are putting in a lot more hours than normal this year. Can't complain though - some people don't have any work - but I tend to work until around 12ish every night, Tuesday, Friday, Sunday, doesn't matter. And I never get ahead.

In my world the work itself isn't so hard.
It's the politics.
Like playing real-life Survivor 24/7 ... with near identical situations of alliances, blind-siding and Tribal Councils ...

I've overdone it lately... mentally stuffed at the moment... supposed to be on leave as of the end of yesterday... guess what...I'm about to start working now...

That's the problem, I think once you're in the rut you actually feel guilty when you are not working

Well I've got a full time job, but started something on the side, but that something on the side has become a monster and is now a full time job, so my full time job is now like that little something on the side. But... I've been asked to take on more work for the original full time job, and I hate to say no to work (or money) so it is kinda my fault (but there's a very good reason for taking on the extra work so its kind of justified).

Sounds just like the magazine industry - very short sighted cost saving measures which look good on paper (those sitting on the bosses desks, not the physical magazines), which are putting the nails in the coffins of many magazines

Very grateful for work coming in but at the same time
I/we had to put in (and still do) almost every hour of the day to make ends meet plus drive around so much etc. again, can't complain about it, seems that's what is a must these days and if you're lazy then the only thing you got left is to complain about your lack of income. ?
