So as my signature says on my wishlist, when I'm big one day I want to own a Martin Acoustic Electric guitar (with cutaway).
I have a lot of respect for a company that has such a rich history and reputation for consistently delivering quality instruments, and of course that classic Martin sound.
From an investment point of view, these guitars will definitely hold their price if not appreciate over time.
Then just as I was about to take that final step, along comes a curve ball in the form of Cole Clark guitars....
Made from indigenous Australian solid timbers.. and really only entering the scene around 1998, by the former Maton Ceo, Brad Clark.
I have on a couple of occassions performed on the same bill at TJ's with "Margaret's daughter" a duo (Ami & Etienne), and always look forward to listening to those two, specifically to hear the BIG sound that Ami's Cole Clark has,,,
it just sounds great and to be honest is a damn fine looking instrument too,,,
So how many of you GFSA'ers out there actually own one?
What are your expriences with these guitars?
I am on the verge of changing my old-fashioned, traditional tastes for a guitar that has really only been around for a short period of time yet seems to be getting the highest accolades worldwide.

My cousin owns a Martin DCPA-4 which I'm currently using and I can say for sure it's the best acoustic I've played this far in my life. ? When we first played it we both knew one of us had to have it. He got the price down from 19 000 to 9500 as well ?
Then last year we played a few Cole Clark guitars at Toms Braamfontein and they blew our minds! Definitely something else! They're different from the Martins but in a good way.
The Bunya tops give a distinct character to the sound
