Why would someone want to deface a Tokai? I don't mind "love rock" at all, I even prefer the older Tokai headstock shapes rather than the Fender ones.

I don't get why this is unclear? If you want a Les Paul, technically you want a Gibson. There are loads of modern counterfeits, copies, reproductions and replicas. If someone takes their Tokai copy and puts a Gibson sticker on it, it becomes a counterfeit. And they'd do that because what they actually want is a Gibson Les Paul (As most people that buy any Les Paul copy do).
Before people freak out, I am talking about copy per definition - there's a vague distinction between all of these and I think we're all smart enough to know what's what.
No one here is disputing the quality of ANY of these guitars. What we're actually arguing about is some asshole that thought it's fine to put a Gibson sticker on a Tokai and then went about brashly trolling people here.
