Bad Milk - Jam last Sunday with Manfred :)

Hey guys, so I got Manfred around to my place last week to see what we could come up with, and this was the result.
Manfred did most of the playing with me on production duties, but i did play the lead guitar and a couple of licks here and there and in between.

everything was recorded live, including my uber giant kick drum ( my wooden floor ?)
Was a real fun session. 8)

my guitar is the tele going into an Eleven Rack, and Davids guitar is the strat going into an Axe Fx
the rest is mainly Nylon guitar with the slide, some shakers, and a kick drum mic on the floor.

Great stuff. Nice sound on the fingerpicked nylon.

Only thing I don't like is the slide guitar coming in from the breaks seems to come in a bit abruptly, a touch of a volume swell on the first note (and maybe move it back in time a smidgin so the peak of the swell is on the beat) would sound better.

? thanks alan, i am still trying to get the hang of this slide thing, i also keep hearing the volume swell thing in my head, but to do it good is another thing.....

Yeah - I understand. You have to unlearn the timing accuracy (that you've worked your whole career to perfect) and now learn to play ahead of the beat.

Thanks guys ?, well Manny already had the three chord progressions written before, so it was quite easy - just a case of laying them down into the computer and then deciding what instrument to throw at it next! it was all quite spontaneous with not terribly too much attention to detail or thought processes going in - just throwing a bunch of things in to the pot and stirring them arounf to see how it it would taste ?
