All my TL Fugi Gen's all have that too. The Japanese know how to copy things down to the last T for Telecaster. Tokai buggered up the kerning in the "Breezysound" logo. Go figure. Have you a close up?

I may be completely wrong but I have oggled thousands of '52 tele pics and have never seen it. http://www.atomeveeclipse.com/guitars/1953TelecasterLilly.html Plenty hires pics there of a '53, I don't see it? http://home.provide.net/~cfh/52tele.html

Danny-B I am loving all the Blonde tele's. What beautiful instruments. I got this in March this year after a four month wait. I am still in love.

MikeM It's nowhere near severe on most vintage models. REmember they were all made by hand and probably had it semi rounded off. It's there so that jack socket can be more easily installed. You can see it here http://home.provide.net/~cfh/54tele.html Look closely here

If it was 'vintage correct' it would be far more obvious on the older models plus fender would have done it on the '52 AVRI Tele surely.
