Howdy!
I'm Kiran, but some call me Bonez, or just K, and I have a strange fetish for hats and caps!
I picked up the guitar about a year and a half ago, for the love of it.
I've been teaching myself mainly with books, and videos from youtube.
Blues and classic rock are the music I generally listen to and I've got Stevie Ray Vaughan on repeat in my car!
My gear collection is nothing really of note, but I love them..
First up is my dads 20+ year old (i think) Bellini... it's got loads of character! I learned my first song on this - Kenny Rodgers... :dance:
next is the Palmer dreadnaught - I hated it so much that it led my to buying the next one!
Ibanez Gio Starter kit - This is my no.1 love! The bulk of my learning was on this.
Ibanez Artwood 40 - This acoustic dreadnaught is beautiful and sweet sounding. At R1500 price tag, I can't fault it.
My latest Baby is the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top - Found this looking all sad in the corner of Cash Crusaders - Amazing guitar at R1200!!!
I don't own any amplifiers except for the one that's bundled in the ibanez starter kit, but I do plug into my laptop and get tones via Amplitube. It's sufficient for me at the moment, however I am considering the Ibanez Tubescreamer 15w amp.
My next big project will be me trying my hand at luthiering - I gotta build myself a Fender Strat!

That Epi LP was a BIG bargain! So well done on that!!
And the Ibanez tubescreamer amp is a very nifty amp! Lots of guys on the forum have them and I am yet to hear something bad about them.

I would like to get myself a nylon string, and an acoustic with a cutaway... A Fender strat is a must, but at the pricetag, I rather try building one. I'm sure I could pull it off. It would be a nice challenge.
