So I'm working on some stuff and am trying to get critique from a varied audience, including fellow forumites!
If you would be so kind to provide constructive criticism and opinions on these two tracks, I would be very grateful!
These are still very much a work in progress:

Yeah Internet is too crappy to view.
Three tracks?
Greg
Fixed it, the third one was already on the forum for review, forgot that I posted it!

Track 1: Reminds me of Bed on Bricks.
Track 2: I liked it, I could see it fitting as a British gangster movie soundtrack e.g. Snatch, Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels.

very cool stuff greg... well done. I love the 2nd track. Agree it could be used in any Guy Ritchie movie.

This is great stuff Greg. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, even in these early stages.
I like the modern drum sounds - nothing defines and dates a piece of music as much as the drum sound. The way you've kept them as dry as Jimmy Page would really anchors the music.
Obvious - I like the production - especially the way everything is skewed just a little from the norm (as a Zappa fan I like a little oddness in music): the heavy vibrato on the rhythm guitar et. al. There is more than a little of The Specials influence in this (amirite?), which is great. My only complaint is the wiry, distorted lead - I love the tone, attitude, playing, but think it would be better if it was spread out throughout the track in small doses, rather than all at once. Would be more in keeping with the track and the other instrumentation.
On the Way Down - good, strong idea with lots of potential, but you need to develop it a bit more to be up to the same standard as Obvious.
Once again, this is wonderful stuff (IMO, FWIW, etc.).

Thanks for all the feed back!
I definitely agree with you on the lead being spread out a bit more on Obvious. I'm waiting for some rappers to come and record and was going to play around some more after I had the vocals to work off of! Theres some Specicals, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Dan Auerbach, Jack White, tons of different things that I've tried to incorporate into my style in a natural way!
On The Way Down: It's getting some brass and I'm playing with some new chord progressions and maybe using them as an intro or bridge. Gonna fiddle around.
Will post updates when I'm happy with them!
Greg
Updated the post with a 2nd version of track 2.

Hi guys! Thanks for the feedback so far!
I'm planning on releasing the tracks at some point so I'm gonna be deleting these scratch tracks to clean up my soundcloud.
I'll be making more tracks and will post them on the forum as I go and I'd love your feedback as they come along!
Thanks again.
