Yup, graphtech ghost. I keep the saddles passive, and have built the graphtech pre in to a pedal. I can't risk a 9v dying on me mid show.
I've got three guitars with Ghosts in and beta tested the MIDI system and various saddles for Dave Dunwoodie at GT. The saddles are very highZ, so you really don't want to run more than a couple of feet of cable before the pre. Anyway, those Acoustaphonic preamps run for about a year on a single 9V, (or about three months continuous if you leave it plugged in), so if you change the battery every couple of months, you'll be OK. Still I know what you mean about the risk of it dying mid-show. Two of my guitars have the MIDI in, and those are phantom powered, but the other I just fitted a battery compartment (and on a rear routed guitar like a PRS, you can mount a battery compartment into the cavity cover - no extra routing needed).
If only there was some device that could give me the sound of my favourite amp and favourite cab cranked up. Some form of "profiler" if you will....
I see what you did there. ? Careful, as Lance can't respond on forum because of the rules and it'll frustrate him into an early grave. ?
