Pretty cool. Very Doors-ey ...all it needs is some Hammond. ?

All good aside from the intro noodling which lacks focus and the guitars both being too high gain for the style (probably fine live, but not for recording). Some backing vocals from the rest of the band would take it to the next level.

Recording quality wise; I could listen to it, drums lacked punch though.

I liked "Love on my Side"; had a Stone Temple Pilots guitar feel, Pantera (Cemetary Gates) vocal feels, the vocal harmonizing was the best part for me.

Got way too repetitive though, needs a dynamic change (the progression changes aren't distinctive enough on their own); some refinement and it would be a tight song.

Over my Dead Body wasn't anything new to me but I like your vocalist, has a Scott Stapp tone.

Between the two, structure wise I prefer Over My Dead Body (simply more to hold my attention, not too long etc) but 'sound' wise, I like what you have going in Love on my Side

Thanks Alan, I agree, the intro needs focus as it's always kinda been an improv type noodle. You are not the first person to mention the gain issue, we will work on that. we wanted to add the backing vocals at the end but then we ran out of studio time. I've been wanting to get a Hammond for months now, but the rest of the band thinks I'm nuts for even suggesting it. ?

@21Fretter, Love on my side, I recorded at home so the rest of the band is not present, the full band version has a lot more going on.

Thanks for the advice guys, once we have time and money to properly record the songs I'll take all of this advice into consideration.

Those harmonies are cool.

I liked Over my Dead body, like 21Fretter says, nothing new, but I like a good rock song, so it worked for me. I like the style. I agree that rolling the gain back would suit it more (or fuzz rather than amp drive if you do want lotsa dirt).

I enjoyed the vocals too.

EDIT: I got a bit of a Wolfmother feel from the riffs and vocal arrangement ?

both very cool songs, I preferred Love on my Side,
with both songs though I was expecting them to change direction somewhere, as in maybe a key change or bridge or something?
And as the other's mentioned, perhaps a couple more vocal harmonies,
but otherwise, well done, keep 'em comin'.
