Grand opening - Marshall Music Umhlanga

The opening of Marshall Music in Umhlanga seemed to be Durban's best kept secret. I only learned about it on Friday and attended yesterday, Saturday 13 June. Did anybody else know about it? It was attended by about 70 people but I thought there could have and should have been a lot more.

It's a very well-appointed new store with a good stock of Gibson, Epiphone, Yamaha and Taylor guitars. They have a big display of keyboards and are also concentrating on orchestral instruments... strings, brass and woodwinds etc.

Management seem friendly and clued up. I hope it works for them.

P.S. I saw a brand new reissue of my Gibson ES330 at a ticket price of a mere R38 000. I wonder what this means to the value of mine.

I had no idea about the opening ? wish I had known...sounds like a great store though and something Durban can benefit from greatly ?

That is a great price, pretty much in line with the USA price of around $3300

I also only heard on Friday night. Was at the rugby on Saturday so didn't go. They're a good bunch there.
