Recording Guitar Pro

Is there anyway to record the backing drums and bass from a Guitar Pro tab, save it as an PM3 and play it through an iPod? There's one way that I have been trying but I don't have a microphone which I think I need?

cant you export it as a wav in the program and just convert that to mp3 ?

I was exporting as a wav originally but when I played it back there was no sound. Managed to save it as a midi file and add that to iTunes which seems to have worked.

Strange that there was no sound. Wav always works for me. Then I convert to mp3 for smaller file size.

It was just white noise, but luckily got it sorted

Yup - the save as a .wav file and convert to MP3 works for me
