So today started out quite well, seeing as though I was able to buy the HOF pedal locally and go collect it this morning... but things happened to go even better than initially anticipated.
PayPal, re-imbursed me my money I paid for the LP Studio I had bought through eBay (which USPS conveniently "lost"). And so we traveled up to Pietermaritzburg, and purchased a 2007 Les Paul Standard, Heritage Cherry Burst, (flame top) with a 50's neck profile ? She is a 2007 model from the Nashville factory (prior to them splitting up the manufacturing between more than one factory). So i finally got my Nashville princess... an even better one than I had originally opted on. After getting her home, I worked on her for the best part of 1/2 a day, re-buffing the frets, cleaning the Rosewood fretboard, setting attenuation etc etc etc...
Tuned her, plugged her in, and fell in love all over again :-[
Playing her is like hearing angels peeing on my eardrums... Setup the Reverb stompbox, and it just got even better.
Right now, Im in rock 'n roll Shangri La.
Long story short... she has a new home, had a session at a beauty salon and a spa day, is sporting some new strings, and sounds like heaven. She also has a new identity, and Ive named her Angie. ?
Her 50's profile neck, fits my hand like it was made for me!
Ill try get some better photo's in the morning, but I thought id post this so long ? These shots do her flame top NO justice.
