I like that these have spread out through all Fender's ranges - US, Mexi and Squier. They must be doing well with them.

Its nice to see a variation thats not available from Fender. It looks like a pretty versatile guitar. I'm curious to see how good the fidelitron is on these, compared to the one on the MIMs.

Me too. The Fidelitrons have a good rep so far as a poor man's TVJ, but not really suffering for it. I don't know if these are the same manufacturer though...

This is what I'm curious about. Classic Vibe Teles have alnico pickups "very similar" to Toneriders, which supposedly compare well to the ceramic pups in a MIM Tele. I'm sure the VM Cab will have a Chinese/Indonesian made pickup, but it may still get close to the filtertron sound.

Meanwhile, I've been reading good reviews of the Precision Cabronita, the bass might be worth looking at,too

i watched the you tube video of the dual filtertron pups model and it sounded very thin and dare i say weedy .. not how i know a gretch to sound . but an interesting experiment to take a slab body and gretch like pups........

an interesting model is the modern player thinline tele (chinese built) with 2x p90's or at least the fender take on them
