I don't think constrained, it was more of a " Hey, why is the limelight not on me" on both Hetfield and Mustaine's parts....I am a Hetfield fanboy, but after watching the SKOM doccy, it seems he can be prone to "hissy fits" ... ?

Love Megadeth. Love this song.

Conrad

I still think this is from their best album although Broderick only got in after it. Broderick is a real heavyweight but Countdown to Extinction is kind of filed under masterpiece for me.

I love Countdown, but for me Rust in Peace is king. Tornado of Souls is a amazing! Ashes in your Mouth is m favourite track on Countdown to Extinction!
YOuthanasia is also a fantastic album IMO.

Ja, Broderick is hardcore! Love him! Love Friedman too!

Yes I must say Rust in peace too. Flippit... I have been a bit out of touch with metal for maybe too long. Yes Friedman gave such a nice technical edge to things.

Jeez. Haven't heard this in forever. Guess I'll be listening to some Megadeth today then...

+1. I think it's a album that one can listen to start to finish, which isn't always the case?

Back in 1994 someone had posted his email Dave's email address on a newsgroup, so in a moment of heresy I emailed saying that I preferred it to Metallica's Black. He (if indeed it was him, I'm guessing so, as it was in the dark ages of the internet) emailed back with a quite cool reply.

yup...seen them live headlining and gigantours as well...
no complaints
Always worth dropping a few bucks to get in...
It just makes other bands gigs look mediocre...or 'how much did I pay to get in?" LOL
