I recently purchased a MIM Fender Strat, after playing the guitar for less then a month I noticed cracks forming on the body where the neck joins the guitar.
I took it back to the shop where I bought it and they sent it back to the supplier, they have had my guitar for just under 2 weeks and now they say that they are going to 'repair' it.
What do you guys think about this?
Im not burning fender, Im just looking for advice on how to go about this.
Im quite furious to be honest, especially after spending that sort of money on a guitar I had high expectations for !
I have had to miss out on scratch recordings and practicing for our album that we are recording in the next 2 weeks.
About ready to make it the shops problem to sort out and ask for a refund.
Any advice please !
No need ditching Fender just yet, the guys on the Stratocaster forum rave about the quality of the Mexican strats. I assume your strat has a poly finish and I don't see how they could possibly repair that short of a refinish. My bet is they end up giving you a new one anyway. Which store did you buy it from?
