Cool stuff ? I like the finish on the Ibanez.
A friend of mine just picked up the guitar version of the Modial with the same piezo/magnetic combo. It's pretty nifty. It's got the whole retro jap plastic thing going on too - winner :goodtimes:
I think the Ibanez was originally a silver burst, but its got a very attractive wood grain. I'm keen on getting the guitar version of the Mondial in the future - its just that these days I get to play bass more so thought I'd go with that

Oh, and can you use the active and passive inputs on your amp simultaneously? I know some are wired so that when you plug into one, the other is switched out. Not sure if that's a standard thing but the only time I've tried, that was the case.
Yip, what I have heard, you can hook it up to two amps to have stereo amps, or if the amp has both inputs then use both at the same time and control which pickups you use from the guitar itself. Will experiment on the weekend and let you know!

The adjustable thumbrest on the Italia is a cool feature.
What's the scale length on the Ibby? It could be just the body shape, but that bridge looks like it's set in a fair way (if that makes sense? I mean that the bridge is closer to the neck than most basses)
You'd think an adjustable thumbrest would be more common - great feature.
I know what you mean about the bridge of the Ibanez; the scale length is 864mm or 34 inches
