The 1983 to 85 "two knob" Strat... Yes, this exists.
Something interesting I found online, certainly the first time I've seen it. Thought I'd share.

Last of the CBS era Strats - I know 'em well. Better than a lot of the other '70s - early '80s models, but I'd still rather have a modern US Standard.
The jack socket makes the pickguard a weak point, BTW. I'm not sure if bridge spares are readily available these days either...

Also Squire bullet "1" strat with a tele bridge +- 1983 ish when Squire manufacturing moved to japan, it is said that in the first runs that they used US parts. For example the necks were US telecasters types
